The weekend with (a) Big Bang

But before that...

More drama at the airport first,

And so as you know, we got our flight retimed to another day. ( Saturday 1055 ) and we already had wasted paying for the hotel room that we never made it to the previous night because we are still in KK.

Got to the checked in counter and just to find out that we got overbooked!

And I was like....

How can this be? I spent like almost 4 freaking hours just to get my flight retimed last night and now you say there's no seat for me in that freaking 1055 flight.

So, I decided to just sit there and told them get me a confirmed flight and am gonna sit here and wait if there's any opening for the 1055, 1230 and 1430 flights. And also at the same time, I am already planning what sort of drama am gonna put on if they gonna say that the 1500 flight am confirmed to be on will be delayed or cancelled again. ( Think umban selipar, cursing words etc )

As me and my sister were talking on what things that we gonna do and also eating breakfast ( they provide free breakfast for disgruntled guests like us ), my sister told me she saw one guest before were like giving money to the staff to "urus" their flights. I really don't have any idea of this under-the-table activity, but if this is for real, am really gonna throw a fit!

Then minutes later, the staff at the counter came to us and said he will try to squeeze us in the 1055 flight after all and that time is already 1045. Apparently, there are 17 no-shows for the flight 10 mins prior to the take off. So, cut long story short and sort of drama. We managed to get on the flight minutes before they depart. (Ah, the beauty of having no checked in baggage )

Tulis pakai pen saja ah the arrangements, baiklah. And that 18E seat is not available actually but biarlah they put me at the Hot Seat instead. Bah, yeay la bah kan bilang! Hahaha. Thank God for all this and am bound to KL that morning itself.

Big Bang concert...

If you are the person, who gonna ask me "Apa itu Big Bang?", you better don't read the remaining post.

We checked in around 3pm and off we go to the Stadium ( concert venue ) which is less than 5 minutes walk from our hotel. Forget all the drama this morning and the day before and just embrace the chaos at the concert place.

And after buying some imitation concert goodies, HAHAHA, ( clearly, we are not the ultimate fangirls ). The real fangirls, really go all out buying all the official merchandises and its not cheap you know. I salute them!

Plus, if you think that we have to endure all this suffering to watch this concert, you should have seen those camping out at the VIP entrance just to make sure they could make that final dash to get nearest to the stage. Some of them camp since Thursday, under rain and shine. Crazy!

And this is the concert venue from our room

And this is from my friend's room, see that black car and van at the backstage area, that's Big Bang's official transport. So, catching a glimpse of them going down from the car/van pun boleh jadi hysterical moments. (Siok juga bah squealing like a schoolgirl, feeling like a teenager again. Haha )

Off we go to the concert, jadi budak. Hehehe.

This is the entrance to our place, ( yes, its the cheapest ticket RM98 punya saja ). My sister's  friends ( the ones in the photo above - bought the most expensive ticket ( VIP tickets - RM700 begitu harga ) ). I am in awe, they are the ultimate fan girls.

So the squeezing in through that narrow door begins ( lucky the 4 hours queuing the day before provided more than enough training for us ) and tadaa!!! here's the view taken by the hour.

5pm

6pm

7pm

8pm

And it rained before the show kicked off, it was a sea of colorful raincoats and flashing yellow lights!

The show started with a BIG BANG!

The live music is awesome. All the musicians are all African American. Crazy beats!

The stage is out of the world. The Koreans really go all out with their props and stage and sound system and back up dancers. Worth the money watching them live.

And I thought, it was only for an hour or so but it was more than 2 hours mind blowing show. Crazy bunch of Koreans this Big Bang. With two encores. It was awesome. And it's rather and eye opening concert. My sister said if it is a Japanese or Korean act, this is a standard kind of concert.

They shipped their props together with them and I learnt that the night's show cost more than 4million. It was no surprise because they were fireworks and all. ( Am looking forward for 2NE1 concert in December, hopefully I will have enough moo-lah to go for it )

Aftermath of the show, lots of sampah like usual! Hmmpph.

And I slept seeing stars and more Korean guys in my dreams. Haha

Random stuff I got from this trip

Hello Kitty perfume. Shopping at the airport rocks

I just love this tee! Tukang jual dia bisu so susah mo minta diskaun

Maiden attempt to get some hair extensions. Subtle first, just don't wanna go crazy. If you are wondering what happen to my bleached ends before? Hmmph. Thanks to a disastrous hair trimming in which the whole bleached area was cut off. I wanna cry just to recall about that. So, this is another solution. Will get more when the school holiday start. I scraped the idea to go blonde the whole head because of my scalp irritation. Blergh!

How was your weekend?

Pamper Me Day

Starting this 2nd half of the year, I came to realize that I should do something to reward myself from time to time.

I guess I have been doing it ever since anyway ( all that only conclude to retail therapy - which is not good since the CC bill won't be decreasing that way )

Rewarding myself ; like treating myself to a relaxing massage, a good afternoon siesta time, a foot reflexology...just to keep myself sane.

I make it a point to at least try and do it on a free Saturday. ( You know some Saturdays you will have some event or program at school ). These things need to be done to escape from reality. THE CHAOS!

So, what shall I do this Saturday?

Urm actually I have to be in school in the morning to deal with some stuff. Hoping its gonna be a short one.

Initially I wanted to visit this shop called Frangipani in 1B to do some manicure and nail art. But come to think of it, I am actually really broke now ( speaking in a very low tone ). So, I decided otherwise.

Maybe I will just pick up some new nail colors at 1B and do my own manicure session in the afternoon. BIG GRIN

And remember this book?
Hehehe. I bought this like last year ( or maybe the year before that .. I can't remember) and I haven't even flipped past 20 pages. I even brought it to Europe and back. Damn.

So, I try to finish it by this weekend. Haha. Fat hopes eh?

At least I am giving it a try right? Hehe

disco heaven

another week to unfold coming. Looking forward to it? Hmm. not really.

But the SIFF finale is one of the things that I really anticipate. And it is this coming Tuesday. Ooh..siok tu! The last event held two years ago was a blast and I expect this year it could be better.

Anyway talking about fest and cultural extravaganza, the much anticipated RWMF will gonna be on the next weekend. Me? Not goin. :( Initially I wanted to but I decided otherwise. Nevermind la, the next one I am so goin.

So, to emily and chegu and other people who are goin. Don't forget to blog about it yea. Pictures is a must too! Jangan lupa tu.

...........

Feeling so bloated now, masuk angin, terlampau kenyang and everything. Hohoho. Don't feel like doing anything but I can't sleep either because I took my power nap this afternoon a "little" too long. 3 hours actually. Haha

Maybe I will just lie down on my bed and look at the spinning fan la.

sandy saturday

When was the last time you sat on a swing and just enjoy every moment of it?

Wind through your hair...

and the momentum of every swing is just gratifying. Up, up and away.

Yes, I guess it's everyone fave childhood moment. Reality check, things were not like last time huh.

*Credit card bills, loans and mortgage, career building and so on. ~ blergh!

One thing that I realize is.. the more mail and envelopes that come to you each month shows how much has you age. hehe.

Because when I was in primary school, the only mails that I received is from my penpals and best friend far away studying.

Now, I have mails that I don't wanna open especially at the end of the month. sigh!

I wanna be on the swing forever...

lonely saturday

It is the end of a stressful week. no need to elaborate on that matter. my brain is somehow damaged by the excessive crap given by my students on their exam papers.fyi: locus definition . They are supposed to draw the line that shows the movement of the swing. An arc. Very simple...and they give me this?

Argh..never mind about that. I have done marking the papers. Enough said.

Anyway, today is a Saturday. I started my day by doing housework, drove to the city, caught in a jam in lintas area. *Sempit place, limited parking, lotsa human~damn*. went to likas sports complex for PC fair but didn't even make it to the parking place *lotsa human~again*. So went 1borneo instead and had these for lunch.

I used to hate miso sup and cringe at the sight of it but I guess I was too hungry that it tasted nice today. Or maybe this time the sushi king's miso soup has gotten better. Salmon fair now. but am not a salmon lover like my other half. So just one plate if salmon sushi.

Bridal fair at the centre atrium but it's not that cheerful but am loving the deco though. And to complete the visit to 1borneo; Daiso is a must.

And there's the driving back home trip. Enjoying the sunny day on Saturday.

No one at home since morning so I did all this just by my own.

A little alone time could also be good sometime *reminds me a lot of my uni days but that time the alone moments was a bit too much that I got bored most of the time*

Okay. Nap time now..

it has been a while

yeah, i havent been updating this blog since the start of the one week raya school holidays. gotta do some tags still, tunggu ah for that one. In the mean time, here is what happened over the weekend.

Girls' day out *more to girls' pigging day out, wahaha*hehe. actually, I got together with two of my friends from uni last time, for a little reunion. Anee and Sheila. Supposedly Milai and Daina are also joining us, but too bad can't-huhu. next time la ah girls. [with that, I officially appoint Milai to be the next organizer, wahaha, this one were by me and Sheila]

so, we checked ourself in to tune hotel. Just wanna try the 'hassle-free' hotel. "5star room with 1star price". It really live up to its name because the deco inside is not bad after all.

and found this device quite funny. Especially the aircon credit hours remaining. heheAnyway, when we checked in the room was okay but on the day we wanted to left. Water dripping from the aircon and got funny sound like water bocor on the ceiling of the bathroom which sounded like the ceiling wanna fall off anytime.

My rating for my stay: 2 out of 5 stars. [am just giving credits for the deco a lot la]

That's about the hotel, so the girls' day out started out with a late lunch at NewYorkNewYork
the must have there la kan. haha. gigantic burger *forgot the name d*
We makan so long at the outlet until the all the staff puas see our face. [the food very hard to finish what]
but the head chef very nice la, gave us free treat = choc icecream with waffle

and later in the evening met up with Eve. she is as kurus as ever. like model punya badan saja. the sis is one of MDG btwof course the night ends with some partying at Rumba, we called up several people to join us that night but most can't make it. minus my cousins, and anee's friends, it was just the 3 of us enjoying the mini reunion that we had.It sure would be nice if more ex-usm can join for next time, [siok ba can exchange stories, we love gossips, wahahaha]

*bah milai, ko next pengarah projek*

burned out?

today, my head was totally not cooperating with me.

Words coming out of my mouth but it just doesnt synchronize with my brain. When I was teaching in class, I got my tongue twisted to say things to the kids.

In my head was to say out simple stuff

"Frequency means that the number of times that the item occur in the set of data"

But, my mouth was saying out something like this...

"Frequency means how many times the number will come up and you have to count how many times it occur and this usually happen in a set of data for example in this class how many boys and girls, you count and the number you get is the frequency"

*what the heck? When I recall what happen in my teaching today, I don't blame the students for their blank and blur reactions that they have on their faces*

and after work, I went for an aerobic session [senamtari Malaysia- they used Malaysian ethnic dance choreographed to be aerobic exercise movements], 30 mins for that and later continue for badminton session for 1 hour.

The aftermath of this, I had my head spinning right after I had shower and I need a pillow to stabilize my spinning head. ahahaha.

You Are 46% Burned Out

You're fairly burned out, and it shows.

You probably have been feeling a little rundown and irritable lately.

If you can, drop a few of your minor responsibilities and focus on what's really important.

You have too much on your plate, and it's catching up with you.

Are You Burned Out?

But i seriously don't feel like I am burned out at all. In fact, after all those workout session...I felt better.

I guess its the effect of the weekend coming thats why my mood is not so down...wahaha!

Everybody love weekends right?

i survived the weekend

yes..I survived this weekend without going to any shopping malls and spend money to buy unnecessary things

This is the first weekend since May that I manage to stay home on a weekend.

Bravo to me..ngeh ngeh ngeh.

On another note, I suddenly teringat about my all time favourite book *I thought I never had one*

Toto-chan, The Little Girl at the window by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi

I almost forgot what was the story about. I just remember there was a girl nicknamed Toto-chan. and their classsroom was in a gerabak kereta api. It was during pre WWII before the Hiroshima bombing

I seriously doesn't know what draw me to be so attached with this book. I read this during my primary school time *the malay version, available at my school library* and I have read it like more than 5 times.

But I forgot about it over the years, and I totally don't know what struck me this weekend that I suddenly thought about this book. It has been more than 10 years since I read this book. I am so wanting to read this again.

I saw it is on sale on Amazon but I just want to buy it off a bookstore. Anyone know where I can get this?
