ETS Train Ride

Have you tried the ETS train? I want to share my experience of riding the train from Butterworth to KL Sentral.

The mister booked the ticket online exactly a month before our intended travelling date. Why?

  • The train tickets are highly in demand and we are travelling during the festive season. Normal season also always habis.
  • The tickets will be released for sale around 7am or 8am everyday and yeah, you have to be kiasu. Hahaha.

Spacious and comfortable train coach. It is seriously better than driving back home during the festive season.

You can actually watch movie on the train and they have the foldable table as well so that you can do your work or eat. There is also a bistro selling instant noodles and sandwiches with tea and coffee too. But do not be surprised with price though. One maggi cup noodle is RM3.60. Nothing much to complain though because even airplanes food also they charged kaw kaw.

This is my e-ticket. We took the 5.50pm train and the sun have not set yet and I get to see the scenery. Love it.

See!!!! All green and tranquil. Reminds me of my hometown. I spend most of the first part of the journey enjoying the nice view.

We arrived in KL Sentral around 9.50pm as this ride has several stops. But the train is travelling around 120km/h to 145 km/h so its ok la.

You should try this ETS train ride. So convenient!

Lenten Pledge 2016

Ash Wednesday today marked the start of the Lent season for this year. For me, lent season is a challenging time and also the more meaningful season compared to Christmas. Christmas is too commercialized these days to see the real meaning behind the celebration.

Anyways, for the past lent season, I have tried not to eat meat at all. Success on that one. But I think I should go for more meaningful Lenten pledge this time around.

  • must fast on Fridays
  • pray rosary or divine mercy chaplet everyday
  • read the word of God everyday
  • call my parents every week
  • be merciful to others
  • minimal social medias especially facebook. (I have two accounts, one personal and the other for business purpose, just updates to keep the business running) - let us see how this purging goes.
Ngeh! Hope can keep this up for 40 days. These things should be private but I know this blog do not have high traffic. So biarlah. Hahaha.

Ok, what is your lenten pledge this year?

Happy Chinese New Year 2016!

Hello Year of The Monkey!

Huat ah! There you go give you angpau! Come come and take. Hahaha.

I am currently at my in-laws place. Penang. It is a feel good trip back to Penang this time around because me and the mister did not drive. Hurray! I like flying so much. Hahaha. I am so done with driving together with the holiday crowd like last year. Mad rush! Jam!!!

Reunion dinner is good as usual. My mom-in-law is a very very very good cook! Love her cooking. I did contribute one dish which I usually have during reunion dinner back home in Sabah which is the Sweet and Sour Pork (Ku Lau Nyuk).

With all the good food here in Penang home, I am so gonna be putting on weight. OMG.

So, me and the mister is wishing you all a prosperous new year and hopefully the economy also will bounce back this year.

Dreams to pieces

Well, to be dramatic, I should say that my dreams are shattered.

Like what dream?

To graduate my master with a perfect 4.0 CGPA.

Hahahaha. What a perfectionist hope. I got my first semester a perfect four. But the second one is like crap. Damn it.

Damn you Digital Libraries. The thing that I am not satisfied with this paper is that the group project was almost solely done by me - and to know that your group members actually scored better than you because of the scoring method and the shitty carry mark you had because you did the quiz way too honestly. Argh! I am on fire right now.

Okay, I am being way too dramatic now. I should be grateful. I should be GRATEFUL. ok ok. Anyway, I am so done with this coursework stuff and stupid group projects. I am so looking forward to doing my dissertation and graduate on time. This 2016 it is!

This emotional thingy shall pass. Let's start on a clean slate now.
