it has been a while

yeah, i havent been updating this blog since the start of the one week raya school holidays. gotta do some tags still, tunggu ah for that one. In the mean time, here is what happened over the weekend.

Girls' day out *more to girls' pigging day out, wahaha*hehe. actually, I got together with two of my friends from uni last time, for a little reunion. Anee and Sheila. Supposedly Milai and Daina are also joining us, but too bad can't-huhu. next time la ah girls. [with that, I officially appoint Milai to be the next organizer, wahaha, this one were by me and Sheila]

so, we checked ourself in to tune hotel. Just wanna try the 'hassle-free' hotel. "5star room with 1star price". It really live up to its name because the deco inside is not bad after all.

and found this device quite funny. Especially the aircon credit hours remaining. heheAnyway, when we checked in the room was okay but on the day we wanted to left. Water dripping from the aircon and got funny sound like water bocor on the ceiling of the bathroom which sounded like the ceiling wanna fall off anytime.

My rating for my stay: 2 out of 5 stars. [am just giving credits for the deco a lot la]

That's about the hotel, so the girls' day out started out with a late lunch at NewYorkNewYork
the must have there la kan. haha. gigantic burger *forgot the name d*
We makan so long at the outlet until the all the staff puas see our face. [the food very hard to finish what]
but the head chef very nice la, gave us free treat = choc icecream with waffle

and later in the evening met up with Eve. she is as kurus as ever. like model punya badan saja. the sis is one of MDG btwof course the night ends with some partying at Rumba, we called up several people to join us that night but most can't make it. minus my cousins, and anee's friends, it was just the 3 of us enjoying the mini reunion that we had.It sure would be nice if more ex-usm can join for next time, [siok ba can exchange stories, we love gossips, wahahaha]

*bah milai, ko next pengarah projek*

can you believe this

Can you BELIEVE? She was once a HE...

and now she is so gorgeous!

But Walls eventually embraced that difference and today is living true, as Isis King. Now 22, King is the first transgender contestant on "America's Next Top Model," the CW Television Network reality show hosted by supermodel Tyra Banks.

"I'm just trying to be myself," King said during a telephone interview last week. "If I inspire people, that's a wonderful thing — whether you're trans or not."

buka puasa

This is coming to the final week of puasa. Next week Hari Raya already. Yay! for me, it's a celebration of food. No need to wait for raya, now, ramadhan also, most of us *the ones obeserving ramadhan or not* also are rejoicing for the abundance of food available.

*I bet this Ramadhan will definitely add up some pounds on the scale*

Oh! I am a bit tired now, feels like sleeping early. Somehow, I just need to blog. I don't like the fact that I can't start and end my day if I don't sit in front of my laptop. Is this addiction?

*at the same time, the exam papers are waiting to be done- I am supposed to set the Maths question for the final semester examination. But what to do, this is procrastination at its best*

Also, I hate the media is trying to make the Theresa Kok's statement about the prison food to be such a big issue.

It is nothing actually, but now, they are trying to link that matter as an insult to the poor la, insulting the police la.

This Namewee also in Malaysia now, police taking his statements.

RPK is sentenced into 2 years under ISA

Murder of the wife of ex Bukit Tambun MP

tra..la..la..

There is too much things going on now. TOO MUCH! and it's definitely not going to be any better by the day. Just quit all this nonsense. For now, the mainstream media(especially RTM) and those politicians are totally those who should get a life. Acting like bitches and bimbos ~ Just get a life you all

Kiro mati

pic from nataliedee.com

I miss KIRO. my one-eyed ikan koruk.

He is dead. ( I am not sure of its gender also but I assume that he is a HE la)

I just found out today. But I guess he is dead for quite some time la. The body hancur already.

Almost cant see him inside also. Because the water is so, VERY murky. Everyone at home had forgotten about him la I guess. That's why he died.

Since the other fishes tookover the nicer aquarium, Kiro have to settle with a very small aquarium. Placed at a corner where people will only OCCASIONALLY notice his existence. Even though, Koruk *dunno what is the English name* fishes known to have really good survival in any condition.

No food, Didnt change water in aquarium. What will fish will survive that?

I guess that could explain why he died la.

burned out?

today, my head was totally not cooperating with me.

Words coming out of my mouth but it just doesnt synchronize with my brain. When I was teaching in class, I got my tongue twisted to say things to the kids.

In my head was to say out simple stuff

"Frequency means that the number of times that the item occur in the set of data"

But, my mouth was saying out something like this...

"Frequency means how many times the number will come up and you have to count how many times it occur and this usually happen in a set of data for example in this class how many boys and girls, you count and the number you get is the frequency"

*what the heck? When I recall what happen in my teaching today, I don't blame the students for their blank and blur reactions that they have on their faces*

and after work, I went for an aerobic session [senamtari Malaysia- they used Malaysian ethnic dance choreographed to be aerobic exercise movements], 30 mins for that and later continue for badminton session for 1 hour.

The aftermath of this, I had my head spinning right after I had shower and I need a pillow to stabilize my spinning head. ahahaha.

You Are 46% Burned Out

You're fairly burned out, and it shows.

You probably have been feeling a little rundown and irritable lately.

If you can, drop a few of your minor responsibilities and focus on what's really important.

You have too much on your plate, and it's catching up with you.

Are You Burned Out?

But i seriously don't feel like I am burned out at all. In fact, after all those workout session...I felt better.

I guess its the effect of the weekend coming thats why my mood is not so down...wahaha!

Everybody love weekends right?

discussions in a group

I saw this thread in one of my Yahoo groups. The first thread sound like this

Dear Friends,

As we are celebrating soon Hari Malaysia, from CMO
Penang, would like to request for your sharing for
Hari Malaysia.

Question:
What is your feelings towards the Sept 16 1963? Does
it make any difference for you?

Please send you reflection soon. Thank you.

Usually I will be the silent one. But after reading several replies after that, I couldn't help myself from not replying to them because some of the replies sounded like this

"do the west msians even know when the malaysia day. i myself never celebrate merdeka on 31 august bcz i felt it's like celebrate something that is not belong to me. but when it comes to 16 september, does anyone even know the existence of this date? east msians always feel that they are not even msian."

"personally I believe the that Malaysia Independence Day to be celebrated on 16th of September instead of 31 August as the federation of Malaysia does not exist on 31 August1957."

Anyway, I am not pointing fingers that they are wrong or what so ever. People are entitled to voice out what they think. So here's my take on this.

Feelings towards Sept 16 1963 eh? Well, one thing for sure that I know now is that Sabah has a public holiday for that. And I should rejoice for it. :) . But what actually happen on that exact date 45 years ago for me is something that has changed the whole nation. Malaysia was born that time. I can never imagine how things will be like now if Sabah and Sarawak did not join Malaysia and never did gain independence through the merge.

Will these two states govern by their own and become very rich? Will we, Sabah be under the Phillipines ruling or will Indonesia declare these two states as theirs? There is so many what ifs and what will be, question marks everywhere. Some people speculated that we will do well on our own. Should we never join Malaya, our oil, gas, forest and other sources won't be exploited so much by the federal government. and we never become one of the backwards state in the country. This could be true.

Or it might not be. We never know. The past is the past. And history will never be re-written all over again.

For what I know, at this present time, as we are now celebrating the 51st year of independence and 45 years of the birthday of Malaysia, the minds and attitude of most people, any race or religion, are still not MERDEKA. Why do we still argue about rights of any race, supremacy, power, and the list goes on. As far as I seen, we are definitely not on the right track to create the Bangsa Malaysia that has been one of the main agenda in our country now.

Why there should be a difference between 31st Aug and 16th Sept? It is just a date anyway. Yes, it is only the date but the historical value of the date that made all the difference. After all the years, we spent going to school, enriching our minds, can't we realize that the both dates carries a lot of significance to every citizens?

Sabah and Sarawak gained their independence through the formation with Malaya therefore Malaysia was born. But, how can we neglect the independence of Malaya in the first place. Make it simpler like this, if Malaya never gain independence in the first place, Malaysia will never even exist in the map of the world now.

If that is too hard, just imagine that your parents never met in the first place (this is like Malaya's independence) , you will never be born into the world (and that is just like the existence of Malaysia now). The whole thing is connected. So, why fret about celebrating both dates. After all, there is gonna be public holidays anyway on both dates right? :)

The important thing now is to how to live with people with different backgrounds and ideology. It is not meant to be easy but at least we are trying to be the Bangsa Malaysia. We are the people, we are living in the present, if anyone feel that we need a change for the better, we shouldn't be talking about what SHOULD take place in the PAST. We should be thinking on what should be done NOW.

*is this too long? hehehe* Of course this was posted on the groups discussion board. But I have nothing to write on my blog today. So, just sharing lah ..hehe

EQ eh?

Your EQ is 107

You're average. It's easy to predict how you'll react to things. But anyone could have guessed that.

You're a bit moody, and sometimes you have trouble coping with every day life.

But you're by no means depressed, and your good days definitely out number your bad days.

There's nothing really wrong with your life, but you may not be living up to your actual potential.

Negative emotions can be a real drain of your energy, so make sure you have them under control.

shitty interview

After spending more than one week revising the essential *at least I thought those things are essential la* for my interview today. The dreaded day has finally come. And it is today.

I just got back from the interview and feeling shittier than ever. The air at the waiting room was very tense. Everyone look so nervous and of course, yours truly as well.

Checking of the documents at the registration table

Pegawai: Dah susun dokumen ikut turutan yang dikehendaki?
Me: Sudah
Pegawai: ....
Pegawai : Dah susun belum? Kenapa tak jawab? Jadi cikgu mesti...bla bla..yada..yada..

*who was the one who didn't hear anything in the first place? Nvm!*

My turn came

Knock~Knock

Me: Selamat pagi tuan
Interviewer: Sila duduk
Me: Terima kasih tuan *sopan la konon*
Interviewer: Perkenalkan diri anda

SO, I told him my name and where I am working now + subject I am teaching now

Interviewer: Ceritakan tentang keluarga anda dan pendidikan anda

I only mentioned one or two things about my family background and where I got my early education + college

Interviewer: Saya minta anda ceritakan tentang keluarga anda, kenapa tak cakap? Ini beritahu pasal pendidikan saja. Cikgu tak faham ke cikgu?

Me: ........Maaf Tuan *start talking about my family again*

Then, he asked me about what subject I teach, bla..bla.. marah me because I am not teaching my option (Bio/ Chem). I sat there helplessly with muka 20 sen.

Ok, done with first part torturing.

Interview: Sekarang soalan pengetahuan am. Apa pendapat anda tentang sistem pengangkutan awam di Malaysia?

................Damn it! Of all things why ask me this *if tourism and culture or politics easier la*

I just told him that the public transportation system is generally average throughout the country. Gave him example of buses and LRT, some cities like KL is ok but like in KK not so good.

Then of course, I got condemned again la..

.....Sigh

He said my thinking very narrow because I say buses and trains. *example ma, haiya* Then he mention about MAS getting awards for best airlines la...yada yada yada..

Me: ...................................

Then again, lecturing part come again. He said I am not a critical thinker, i don't open my mind and yada yada yada

*owh, when this will end?*

Interviewer: Ok soalan terakhir, siapakah ketua negeri sabah?

*I was contemplating between giving the name of the TYT or the CM*

I answered the TYT's name...

AAAA...last question also kena query again, not the right way of addressing the TYT. I forgot to mention "Yang di-Pertua"

Verdict: Will be known after two months. Btw, the interview room that I went into is where the most-cerewet-and-very-menakutkan punya panel interviewer. Bilik Sipadan.

Personally I don't think it was a good interview. And it certainly ruin my day. Grumpy people in the morning, can't they just be nice especially with the open-ended question. They shouldn't insist on us or expect us to answer according to what they have in mind.

Everyone has their own view. That's what is being called an intelligent conversation

Whatever it is I just hope I will pass that interview. If not I won't be confirmed as a teacher.

*it's not easy to be in this line, seriously!*

someday we will experience this

it is sooner than you think

another case of kidnap, rape and murder

DAILY EXPRESS NEWS
Dead UMS student may also have been raped

Tuaran: The body of a girl who was found in Kg Lugading, here, last Thursday has been confirmed to be that of an Universiti Malaysia Sabah student.

The deceased, whose identity has been withheld, was believed to have been dead for three to seven days. She was also believed to have been raped before being murdered.

Both her hands were bound with her clothes and was found facing downwards by the roadside.

According to a family member, on Aug. 22, they sent her to the Tandek minibus terminal and were surprised when one of the deceased's colleagues informed that she had for not reported for classes three days later.

They received a shock upon being informed by police about the discovery of her body. On Aug. 30, the family members claimed her body for burial.

And the victim here is my fellow teacher punya girlfriend. How tragic. The people who did this crime is definitely far worse than an animal.

Hopefully the people who did this to her will be caught by the police soon.
